-the oakland minute- #1

have been wanting to do
something like this for a
long time. a little oakland
piece. going to try to keep
it up, every couple weeks. open
my eyes more to the things outside
my front door.

the new generation of build
it yourself-ers. ghetto golden
hour, golden child. wso.

hanging on to last hopes.
shattered dreams. far out scenes.

head case, cheap

cunning linguist

what happened?
-the brother behind the counter
told me it was the " domino effect"
he repeated it several times, as if
i had never heard the term.

all these guys are fairly
short. 20 years ago we would
have had some serious boy
band potential.

"the brother behind the counter told me"

The start to an always hilarious story right there. You're givin me the best flashback of a time shared w/ the my father. Campfire going, dogs sleeping, sharing Old Styles & prison stories.

Thanks for the radical vibes you send through yer blog.

Ya. Is that bordertown? Got to skate that in December. Was fucking rad!!!!! Was hanging in SF asking around about B.T. and everybody seemed sketched out by it,telling me the locals were dicks, etc. Anyways got their and met some of the coolest dudes. Pretty sure one of 'em was Pete the Ox who was charging every run, fucking going for it. Anyways I was having a blast doing shitty grinds over the loveseat, eatin shit,etc..To the dudes who put in blood, sweat and beers for Bordertown...I thank you. We got a coupla renegade spots going on here in Austin. Keep building!
