I grew up being told that Godzilla was a symbol for nuclear anxiety in Japan, not earthquake anxiety. Now earthquake anxiety seems more like it, given how Godzilla San seems like another uncontrollable force of nature...like earthquakes.

My Aunt called me from Tokyo during... I sincerely hope the best for Japan and will be making my trip there to help sometime in the near future.

Terrible tragedy for Japan, even though Japan did a lot
to prepare for it.
I hope that nobody here in CA is dumb enough to
think that "it can't happen here."
