I totally understand where you're coming from. I have that exact feeling often. Where I run into problems is trying to decifer between paying homage and totally biting someone's shit. Whether it be music, style, skateboarding or choppers. I guess there is inspiration and then there is imperseration. Trouble is not everyone can be Bob Dylan, someone's gotta be Gordon Lightfoot.
