but on a serious note, this tank gave me hell, the bare metal was wiped with some wd40 type deal for photos and it created a solvent pop that i couldn't get out of the clear coat.... twice! stripped to bare metal....but all things happen for a reason, and this rendition is better than the other failures.
it feels so wrong to be sticking this thing in a box and shipping it, like a funeral, but it will be resurrected when it reaches chiacago and put into the wind. i always can tell if i'm happy with something, when i finally get a chance to stop back and look at, and you kind of have to remind yourself that you did it. It's all learning, and experimenting but within some parameters that will make it all jive in the end. creativeness or whatever you call it, happens so naturally sometimes and the end result can be failure or success. I don't think of this as a traditional paint job, or one with lots of outside influence, well aside from nature. but that what feels best about it.

each tank is unique and special soo its hard to pic a favorite, everyone we see we say oohhhh! and its ever radder to look down and see it as u ride, to have a friend and someone you look up to make you something is priceless, and the blog has always been like xmas morning to me, always rad...keep doing all you do..u cant be duplicated with as much heart and soul u have for this

I am really liking this one Max. Love the yellow striping separating the orange and black that loops around the filler cap. Nailed it! Is this the tank that Brandon built in the Dice Tech articles?

I've built lots of bikes over the last 15 years but I've never had the tank finished before the fabrication has begun, let alone something of this caliber! It will be one hell of a challenge to make the bike compliment this tank. Thank you for the challenge Max! And keep doing what you do!

I've never seen a tank like that ever! So amazing. Hat's off brother, you really do amazing work. Honestly, that is the coolest shit I've seen in a long time. I can't even begin to understand how you created those panels. fucking unreal! Shit, now I have to buy another tank for my build for you to paint.
