Do you have any recommendations for a shop here in Portland,OR? I am almost done with a 59 Ironhead and I just need to buy a few parts. Got any Ideas?

I hope he went out and bought a CB750 instead ;-)

Actually that man right there is a guy my father rode with back in the day. His names George. They were on a huge road trip in the north east when his panhead blew up. When they arrived back home george had no money, and now no chopper. What else is there to do? My ol'man took that photo around 1971

Your current header photo of all the folks in the trees reminds me of the Carnegie SVRA Grand Prix Track from back in the '70's, could it be?

the location the photo is near simi valley. an old movie ranch called Corriganville. the quote is this "fastes and roughest scramble events in the u.s." from a 1968 cycle mag

I was raised not to far from there in Chatsworth. The ranch was owned by actor/stuntman Ray Corrigan. Then it was sold to bob hope. Two huge fires swept through there and destroyed most of it. I remember those races in the 70's ...I was around 8 yrs old. good times! its now a regionalpark owned by the city of simi.

I always wondered how Kurt Cobain did it - according to Courtneys version, anyways
