!! THE CRYSTAL MYTH !!

Chris finished his bike a few
days before born free. HE doesn't
have the terrible habit of referring
to his bike as she or her... just "my shovel"
or the bikes name..."the crystal myth".
I"m proud of Chris and the work he put into
this thing. Like so many of you probably do and
are doing he chiseled away at it...
in a dimly lit small garage, parts strewn about the
floor and a steady diet of weedeater and electric
wizard spilling from the boom box.
I helped where i could...de-raking the frame
and was happy to be able
to do the paint.
Our friend the Anonymous Walrus happened to
be paddling by the night of the first firing and
she sent the photos below my way.

I spent an awful lot of time admiring that machine at Born-Free.

Some bikes are tough, some are flashy, but Chris's bike - it's just beautiful.

Love That last pic, I'm guessing timing the mag. Timing plug out, moving the advance a little forward each time and tightening those bolts just right, plug wires on the ground. At that point the best tool you have is a friend and a smile on your face.
