She looks underwhelmed with the whole thing.

DannyL is a great inspiration to all who take
motorcyclist/motorcycle pics. Just ask Kid Kurpius, just ask Scott Pommier. Ask anybody.

Mark, it may just be "You're not actually going to take my picture this early in the day,"

one of the greatest photo books/stories of all time....of how he started this project he basically said, "i saw a pack of bikeriders and decided to follow them"...he rules

A lot of the greatest probably started out that way
"I saw a pack of_______ (fill in the blank) and decided
to follow them." Check out Susan Meiselas for example
Carnival strippers first, then revolutionaries in Central
America...

Meiselas has a show back east right now, this link
has samples and background info.

"Carnival Strippers' is often mentioned in the same breath as 'The Bikeriders.'

She certainly went to Nica with the same spirit as DannyL "following that pack of motorcyclists'

“So I got on a plane and went. I didn’t know how or what I would photograph—even where I would stay—and I didn’t speak Spanish.”

She was working for Time magazine. When they saw here stuff they were so scared by it that they sent her a big telephoto lens for her safety. She
never, ever used it.
