shit yeah. my first job was right there in oil dale - the grape fields. 15yo napping under the vines with the rattle snakes and gophers i realized fucking around in 118 degree ball blistering heat for $4.75/hr was not for me. next summer i was flipping pizzas with the remedial math crew. never looked back... well once, just now.
Man i live here currently. I worked over a the mortuary where Buck Owen had a family mausoleum. It read "the Buck Owens family." kept the marble spotless. Bakersfield is rad though mcdonalds banks rip!
