Chief Aupumut, Mohican. 1725

"When it comes time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home."

It's Petey from the Little Rascals. First clue is the MGM at lower right, second is the painted on circle on the left eye. It's a cute pic, doesn't offend me, but many elders on the Res may take issue with it. Of course this is from an era where PC was no PC at all.

Mystery solved. My Dad had a Boston Bull Terrier when he was a kid, and "Our Gang" was all over the
Saturday matinees. Named him Pete too. Dad and his
Sis began their medical training by assisting my Granfather, a M.D. when Pete needed surgical repairs
after dogfights.
