Bought & read it a few years ago.
It's been passed around through all my friends like a filthy lot lizard.

This is one of the first and probably the best of the football hooligan books. Especially because it's an outsiders view from the inside. If you like this I recommend the English documentary "Hooligan" made about the same time. Though way diifferent, this stuff still goes on. If you search "millwall westham" on youtube you'll see some mayhem from about 2 weeks ago.

I'll have to try this one. Never heard of it! Really like your choice of reading materials so keep them coming!

Great read. Like guy said above, probably the best of the hoolie literature. Check out Perry Boys too...accounts of a former casual turned chemistry man.

Dear Oprah,
Your selections are informed and entertaining. Real talk though, this book rocks but I'm a football fanatic so it was an easy sell. There is a lighter movie titled "The Football Factory" that addresses English football hooliganism but literature is always better in my opinion.

One of my very favorite reads! Like HS Thompson's Hells Angels but with football hooligans instead of bikers.

I recommend watching a UK bravo series the real football factories pretty interesting behind the scenes look at the different firms in Europe.

i couldn't stand the narrator in this book. everything was so vivid and could have been so much more but his tone and demeanor just made me cringe over and over and i think it soured a good portion of the book. not to say it isn't entertaining as fucking hell but still...
